A family affair

“It was Dad’s business and he came down here from Sydney and started selling radios, then the whole thing just slowly expanded over the years. Then his brother-in-law came back from the war and started working in the shop, then his wife, my dad’s sister, she started working there and then when my brother got old enough he started working there. When my second brother left the steelworks, he worked there and then I started working there and then my eldest brother’s wife she worked there. Then my wife started working there for a while. Then my son worked there before he got a proper job. And then my eldest brother’s daughter worked there. So, it was very much a family affair.”
